TODAY’S PRAYER

Dear Father God,

You are great, and You do great things, such as creating the universe, guiding us through life’s challenges, and showing us unconditional love through the grat and wonderful things that You do for Your children…Psalms 86:10.

I want to spend more time with You today, Abba. Holy Spirit, please help me to…make time to sit before my Abba’s throne, to talk with Him in prayer, and to worship Him. Abba, I want to read my Bible today in an intentional manner so that I might know You more personally, and to tune my ear to hear Your voice so that I will know when to turn to the right or left… Please remind me to “walk in the way and along the path that You have mapped out for my life, before I try to veer in any direction that is not Yours, Abba. Abba, I want to be like a sheep who listens to and knows Your voice and follows You when You call me.  John 10:27. Abba, I do trust You to guide me at all times.

On this Day, I want to thank You, Jesus, for Your example of laying down Your life for me, a sacrifice that symbolizes the greatest form of love and selflessness… John 15:13

I pray that each of my graduating babies from week’s events will seek to know You and come to the knowledge that You laid down Your life for them, too! I pray for all students graduating this year that they, too, will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and answer the call to serve You, Abba! I pray for the parents of graduating seniors all over the USA who must let go of their beloved child as they walk out into the world to become adults responsible for their own education. I plead the blood of Jesus over all of them. Abba. I pray that you comfort their parents as they deal with the empty nest and worry comes to mind, for they will be wondering what is happening to their child. I pray for the 11th graders, wishing school would end as soon as possible. Abba, it seems like an eternity to just be able to breathe and not have to worry about assignments. However, the reality is that they will have them for the rest of their lives, as they will continue to have tasks related to their work. Please use the last year of their school lives to instill this reality in their minds and help them learn how to navigate their assignments with willingness and ease, because you are always there with them.

Thank You for loving me and for calling me Your friend. And I pray, believing that You glorious Abba will hear and answer my prayers. In the holy name of Jesus, and as a person created in the image of the invisible God, I pray, Amen.
