Dear God of Forgiveness, Elohim Selichot,
What a joy it is to bask in the light of Your forgiveness, Elohim Selichot. I am grateful for Your mercy, and I pray as Jesus taught us, seeking Your forgiveness for my thoughts and actions, and extending my forgiveness to others…
In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Abba, may Your kingdom come soon and very soon. Provide for our physical needs, food, and clean water for our bodies and souls. Please continue to forgive us of our sinful thoughts and actions and our indebtedness to You. Abba, please keep me in remembrance of the fact that You will forgive me in the same way that I forgive others who have sinned against me. In the glorious name of Your kingdom and according to the majesty of Your power and glory forever, amen. Matthew 6:9-13
I am so blessed to be covered by the sacrifice of Jesus, lifted by the intercession of the Holy Spirit, and loved by You, my Heavenly Father. Abba, if I should lose my earthly life today, I will be worshipping with the angels, praising with the saints, and basking in the glow of Your presence in my heavenly home where there is no more sin, no more sickness, no more tears, no more worries, no more suffering… entirely free at last… Revelation 21:4
My God of Forgiveness, Elohim-Selichot, You are truly magnificent, and I bow before You. Let me be a vessel of forgiveness, as Jesus taught us… Mark 11:25
Could you remind my children and grandchildren that they should exercise forgiveness, too?
Lord, I also pray for the protection of graduates all over our state this morning. May they step into their future with hope and optimism, free from the burden of past mistakes. In the holy name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
