Good morning. Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

I praise You for this new day. You are the Creator of the universe, and you know all things. Isaiah declared, and so do I, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.” Isaiah 40:28

Father, You are the great I Am, the sustainer of everything. Your understanding is unsearchable, and You understand me. Mixed up, messed up, and weak though I may be, You understand and love me immeasurably. Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit. Thank You in advance for guiding me through this day by filling me with Your Holy Spirit and showing me which path to take. “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21

May You be glorified through Your creation and my life today as You use me. This community I live in needs Your Holy Spirit to pour down upon us miraculously. Bind us together as brethren who are looking out for each other. Lord, please use me as Your hands and feet today to bless my family, friends, and constituents in this community. Lord, Bless them with the knowledge of Your love, compassion, and the Truth of Your word, which declares that You are “the way .. the Life”. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the Truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

Lord, I want everyone to know that no permanent joy exists outside of Your presence. No joy exists outside of living out the Truth of Your word. Lord, help me to be an instrument of Your Truth and a demonstrator of Your Joy. This world is wallowing in “truths” presented as absolute Truth. Well, only You are absolute, Lord. Only Your word is THE TRUTH; outside of that, Lord, I know that it is what we – the people think is Truth is limited knowledge. Change that for my community, state, and this majestic nation, Lord. Lord, please show us that the Truth is not a conjecture to be manipulated at our every whim. Lord, please help me to be a witness to every one of the truths of Your Words and the Truth of Your works. “Your word is truth” John 17:17 Lord, this world needs a Truth reset. It needs healing. Please, Lord, send Your Holy Spirit down in the power of the beginnings of Your church and heal our land spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

Only then will we understand Your presence’s power and Your Truth’s absoluteness. Our environment is polluted. The word “cancer” used to be a rarity, but now it is cropping up everywhere and in people of all ethnicities… 2 Chronicles 7:14

Lord, people working on the front lines of needed services like fire, police, hospitals, schools, our military, and, dear Jesus, our educators need Your encouragement and protection. Please protect those who are serving the hungry, poor, and homeless. Homelessness has become a norm in this great nation of ours—marginalized people who feel like outcasts are not Your will for Your people, Lord. Lord, please let all Christians and churches in this great nation reach out with Your hope and love while people’s hearts are open to receive the prompting of the Holy Spirit. As we press on in the name of Jesus, Lord, we do it all for Your glory.

Lord, I don’t want to forget my church brethren who are continuing the prayer vigil that You have called us to initiate at the beginning of this year. Encourage those waking up in the wee hours of the morning to reach out to You on behalf of all the supplications we need you to answer. Lord, we are a small group of people who believe in prayer, not just for churchy things but for our family and friends. As we continue this vigil, bind us together with the Super Glue of the Holy Spirit. Perform Your marvelous works through us. The beacon of light that this world needs must beam from the place of worship and the people who live there into every nook and cranny of our communities, Lord. It’s harvest time, and I pray that You will strengthen our resolve to press on with harvesting wheat (people who need to know You) for the kingdom’s sake. Your word reminds us that… “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” John 4:35.

Please keep reminding us that You came for them and gave Your life for them, too, Lord. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “John 3:16 NKJV.
