Stay into “The Light!”

#LookForTheLight #WalkInTheLight

New King James Version
“And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain..” 2 Pet 1:18.

There is a difference in the demeanor and presence of people who are walking in the light when compared with people who are not.  They do not need to tell you that they are walking in the light because it is evident in their mannerisms, the way they speak, their worldview, how they behave at work and how they interact with people who are challenging. The enemy sees that light and will do whatever he can to snuff it out.

The light is “the Word of Truth/God and Jesus the Son of God!” It is the calling card of the Children of God and it drives out the darkness in this world. When our footsteps stay in the light –  we will not stumble. Our tormentors will not cease, but we have a deliverer. Look at what the psalmist said in Psalm 56.

1Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me.
2My enemies would hound me all day, or there are many who fight against me, O Most High. 3Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? 5All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil. 6They gather together,
They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life. 7Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God! 8You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book? 9When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me. 10 In God (I will praise His word), In the Lord (I will praise His word), 11In God I have put my trust;
I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? 12Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises to You, 13For You have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling,
That I may walk before God In the light of the living? “

Psalm 56New King James Version

The light is not the shadow that is cast as an object passes by. It is not the shadow that one sees when the light shines as it is blocked by a solid object. It is the truth of God’s Word that sinks into our souls and prevents us from falling into sin. When our footsteps keep us in the light we are blessed.

Psalms 89:15 tells us.

This blessing is not isolated to physical objects, wealth, or “favor.” It also speaks to the joy of The Lord. The peace that “passes all understanding.” The union of communion a believer experiences from the presence of The Lord in unequaled by any other human experience. Walking in the light/the presence of Jesus lifts the burdens of this harsh world from of our shoulders and enables us to beam as beacons of His grace.
