Humility

footwashing

Can you imagine having to wash the feet of someone who was about to betray you? Well, that is exactly what Jesus did. The Almighty washed Judas’ feet even though he knew that he was going to betray him. Taking a stance just because one can do so is not always the best way to resolve a problem.

Sometimes silence is best. Trusting Him to resolve some of our problems would teach us how to be humble like Jesus.  It is not about the positions that we have or even our circle of influence. It is more like being a child and recognizing that we do not have ultimate authority over our lives. Love in action is this circumstance is an example of humility!
